The Warner House will be open Thursday through Sunday from May 25 until October 15 2023 from 11 AM - 4 PM (last tour at 3:30 pm).

Job Description:

The Warner House in Portsmouth, NH is seeking part-time Museum Guides for the 2023 Season. The house will be open Thursdays-Sundays, starting in late May and ending in mid-October. Museum Guide duties will include giving guided tours of the historic Warner House to the general public, handling Admissions, overseeing the Gift Shop, and handling basic day-to-day operations such as opening and closing the house. Additional responsibilities may include giving guided tours to scheduled groups or assisting with special events.

The Warner House is the oldest brick house in New England, and features one of the oldest extant Anglo-American murals in the country. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about history, enjoy working with the public, and have excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of American history, basic computer skills, and great communication skills. Guides may be asked to work some weekends. We encourage people of all backgrounds to apply, as we seek to create a more accessible, diverse and welcoming experience here at the Warner House.
